I am an experienced scholar-practitioner who emphasizes collaborative research, corporate-Indigenous relations, and Indigenous rights. I have worked all across Canada, from east to west and north to south, with First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities, organizations and peoples. I have also worked extensively with all levels of government, the corporate sector and non-profit community based organizations.

I am an Associate Professor at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies at Royal Roads University. I teach graduate level courses in applied and qualitative research methodologies, the philosophy of the social sciences and the practical application of social science theory in support of social change. In my teaching, I draw on my extensive research experience working collaboratively with Indigenous communities, examining primary sources, recording oral histories and locating archival collections across North America.

My research commitment is to learn about the broad and complex issues faced by global indigenous communities, both historically and presently.

Through my social science research I aim to elevate our collective awareness of these significant issues, support shifts in entrenched attitudes and meaningfully influence systemic changes in policies and institutions.
