Responsible Resource Development, Indigenous Rights and Social Engagement: A Synthesis of Knowledge
This report provides a synthesis of existing research knowledge relating to “social licensing” and corporate-Indigenous relations and its role in supporting responsible resource development projects in Canada's North. The research also concerns the Canadian experience within the broader context of the social license and major resource development internationally. Based on this synthesis of knowledge I identify knowledge gaps relating to “social licensing” and corporate-Indigenous relations and its role in supporting responsible resource development.
